This aromatic and resinous wood from South America is traditionally used similarly to White Sage from the Desert Southwest. The smoke has a light, soothing, vanilla-mint-sandalwood-like aroma.
Light the end of a stick with a candle, or lighter, and let burn until a small coal develops, then blow out ignited stick. The stick will smoke for 30 seconds, to several minutes before going out on its own.
